1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Strategic Value Streams services, including:
• use of the Strategic Value Streams website;
• access to the Strategic Value Streams Body of Knowledge;
• membership subscriptions;
• certification examinations and assessments;
• digital credentials and verification services;
• communities, events, downloads, and related digital services.
By accessing the website, registering for membership, purchasing digital content, enrolling for an examination, or using any Strategic Value Streams service, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.
These Terms should be read together with any product-specific information, checkout terms, exam instructions, candidate guidance, privacy notices, or policies made available to you before purchase or before taking an examination.
Nothing in these Terms affects statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
2. About Strategic Value Streams
Strategic Value Streams is the professional body responsible for publishing the Strategic Value Streams Body of Knowledge and administering Strategic Value Streams certification examinations.

References to "Strategic Value Streams", "we", "us", or "our" refer to Strategic Value Streams.
References to "you", "your", "candidate", "member", or "user" refer to the individual or organisation accessing or purchasing our services.
Strategic Value Streams provides professional learning, certification, and recognition services. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Strategic Value Streams certification is not a regulated qualification and does not guarantee employment, promotion, commercial benefit, professional advancement, or acceptance by any employer, institution, regulator, professional body, or third party.
3. International Use
We offer services internationally.
If you access our services from outside the United Kingdom:
• you are responsible for compliance with local laws;
• you are responsible for any local taxes, duties, currency conversion charges, or regulatory requirements;
• you acknowledge that services are delivered from the United Kingdom.
Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence where legally required.
4. Eligibility and Accounts
You must:
• be at least 18 years of age;
• provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information;
• maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials;
• use your account only for your own individual access, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You must not share your account, examination access, Body of Knowledge access, digital credentials, or membership access with another person.
We may suspend or terminate accounts where misuse, fraud, identity misuse, exam misconduct, unauthorised access, or breach of these Terms is suspected.
5. Membership
Membership may provide access to one or more of the following, depending on the membership level or product purchased:
• structured access to the Body of Knowledge;
• eligibility to sit certification examinations;
• access to communities, events, or member resources;
• status verification;
• digital credentials;
• ongoing professional recognition.
Membership benefits, access periods, renewal dates, and prices will be stated on the relevant product page or at checkout.
Membership subscriptions may renew automatically where indicated at purchase.
You may cancel automatic renewal at any time before the next billing date. Cancelling renewal prevents future billing but does not necessarily provide a refund for a current membership period already purchased, unless required by law or expressly stated otherwise.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership where these Terms are breached.
6. Body of Knowledge and Learning Content
The Strategic Value Streams Body of Knowledge and related learning content are provided for personal professional development and certification preparation.
Access to learning content may be provided through our website, course platform, community platform, or authorised third-party platforms.
Access periods, subscription terms, renewal arrangements, and any included materials will be stated at the point of purchase.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, access to the Body of Knowledge and related learning content is for individual use only. You must not copy, reproduce, distribute, teach, resell, publish, upload, or commercially exploit the content.
Strategic Value Streams may update, amend, restructure, replace, or withdraw Body of Knowledge content from time to time to maintain professional relevance, improve quality, or reflect changes in the discipline.
7. Certification and Validity
Certification is awarded upon successful completion of the relevant examination or assessment and satisfaction of any eligibility criteria.
Current certification validity periods are:
• Foundation: valid for 36 months;
• Practitioner: valid for 36 months and supersedes Foundation validity;
• Fellow: extends certification validity by 36 months.
If certification expires:
• certification status lapses automatically;
• digital credentials may be revoked, expired, or marked as inactive;
• public verification status may be updated;
• the individual must not represent themselves as currently certified.
Certification does not guarantee employment, promotion, commercial benefit, professional advancement, or professional recognition by any third party.
Strategic Value Streams may update certification requirements, assessment methods, validity rules, renewal requirements, or credential structures from time to time. Where practicable, reasonable notice will be provided for material changes.
8. Examinations and Assessments
Examinations and assessments are delivered digitally through Strategic Value Streams or authorised platforms, including our examination platform, Brillium.
You must:
• sit the examination personally;
• provide accurate identity and registration information;
• follow all exam instructions;
• complete the examination without unauthorised assistance;
• not copy, record, distribute, reproduce, memorise for distribution, or disclose examination content;
• not attempt to manipulate the examination system, scoring, access controls, or candidate identity process.
You must not use unauthorised materials, unauthorised collaboration, impersonation, automated tools, shared accounts, screen recording, hidden devices, artificial intelligence tools, or any other form of assistance unless expressly permitted in the examination instructions.
Misconduct may result in:
• immediate examination invalidation;
• refusal of certification;
• revocation of certification;
• suspension or termination of membership;
• permanent exclusion from future examinations;
• withdrawal of digital credentials;
• further action where appropriate.
Examination results are final except where we determine, at our discretion, that a material platform error, administrative error, or verified delivery issue affected the candidate's ability to complete the examination fairly.
A candidate may request a review of an examination administration issue within 14 days of the examination attempt by contacting us at [email protected]. Review requests must include the candidate's name, examination level, date of examination, and a clear explanation of the issue.
A review is not a re-marking service and does not guarantee a change in outcome.
9. Accessibility and Reasonable Adjustments
Strategic Value Streams aims to provide fair access to its learning and certification services.
If you require reasonable adjustments for accessibility, disability, health, or other relevant needs, you should contact us before purchasing or before scheduling an examination wherever possible.
We may request reasonable supporting information to assess the adjustment request.
Reasonable adjustments are considered on a case-by-case basis and may depend on the nature of the examination, the platform used, technical feasibility, timing, and the integrity of the assessment.
10. Fees, Payments, Refunds and Retakes
Fees are published on the website and may be updated from time to time.
Payment must be made in full before access is granted to any membership, Body of Knowledge content, examination, assessment, digital credential, download, event, community, or other paid service.
All prices are stated in pounds sterling unless otherwise indicated. You are responsible for any taxes, currency conversion charges, bank fees, payment provider charges, or other charges applied by your payment provider or local jurisdiction.
10.1 Digital Content, Access and Cancellation
Some Strategic Value Streams products include immediate access to digital content or digital services, including the Body of Knowledge, learning materials, communities, digital downloads, online events, examination access, assessment areas, and candidate resources.
Where you purchase digital content or services and request or agree to immediate access, you acknowledge that access may begin before the end of any statutory cancellation period that may apply.
Where required by law, we will ask you to provide express consent to immediate access and to acknowledge that your cancellation rights may be affected once digital content or digital services have been accessed or delivery has begun.
Nothing in these Terms affects statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded by law.
10.2 Examination and Assessment Fees
Examination and assessment fees are non-refundable once:
• registration has been completed; and
• access to the examination or assessment window has been granted.
Fees will not be refunded for:
• failure to attend;
• failure to achieve a passing score;
• change of personal circumstances;
• lack of preparation;
• expiry of an examination window;
• failure to follow examination instructions;
• technical issues arising from the candidate's own equipment, browser, device, internet connection, firewall, security settings, local environment, or third-party software.
Refunds will only be provided where required by applicable law or where we are unable to deliver the examination or assessment service.
10.3 Retake Policy
Strategic Value Streams certification examinations are designed to protect professional standards. A pass cannot be guaranteed, and each candidate must meet the required pass mark independently.
If a candidate does not pass an examination, they may purchase a retake for the same certification level at a 50% discount against the then-current published standalone examination fee.
The retake discount applies only to the same candidate and the same certification level. It is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be combined with other discounts, coupons, bundles, membership offers, founding cohort pricing, or promotional pricing.
Candidates must wait at least 7 days before attempting a retake. This waiting period is intended to allow time for review, further study, and preparation.
Retake discounts are valid for 12 months from the date of the unsuccessful examination attempt. After this period, candidates may still retake the examination, but the standard published examination fee will apply.
Each retake is treated as a separate examination attempt. Passing a retake results in the same certification status as passing on the first attempt.
Strategic Value Streams reserves the right to withhold, withdraw, or limit retake eligibility in cases of suspected misconduct, breach of examination rules, identity misuse, account sharing, system misuse, or other behaviour that may compromise the integrity of the certification process.
10.4 Technical Issues During Examinations
Candidates are responsible for ensuring that their device, browser, internet connection, and testing environment are suitable before beginning an examination.
If a technical issue is caused by Strategic Value Streams or an authorised examination platform, we may, at our discretion, provide a replacement examination attempt, extend access, or take another reasonable corrective action.
If a technical issue is caused by the candidate's own equipment, software, browser, internet connection, local settings, security restrictions, or failure to follow instructions, no refund will be due.
You should report examination technical issues as soon as reasonably possible and provide any supporting evidence requested.
10.5 Promotions, Discounts and Coupons
From time to time, we may offer discounts, coupons, founding cohort pricing, promotional offers, or bundled pricing.
Promotional offers are subject to any stated conditions, expiry dates, usage limits, and eligibility criteria.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, discounts cannot be combined with other discounts, coupons, bundles, membership offers, founding cohort pricing, retake discounts, or promotional pricing.
We reserve the right to withdraw, amend, or refuse promotional offers where misuse, error, fraud, or breach of these Terms is suspected.
11. Digital Credentials and Verification
Successful candidates may receive a digital credential, certificate, badge, or verification record, issued and managed through our digital credentialing platform, Hyperstack.
Digital credentials remain subject to these Terms and may be revoked, expired, updated, or withdrawn where:
• certification validity expires;
• certification is superseded;
• examination misconduct is identified;
• account misuse or identity misuse is identified;
• certification was issued in error;
• these Terms are breached.
You may display a valid Strategic Value Streams credential only while it remains current and has not been revoked, expired, withdrawn, or suspended.
You must not:
• alter a credential;
• misrepresent your certification level;
• claim certification you have not earned;
• display an expired, revoked, or withdrawn credential as current;
• imply endorsement, employment, partnership, accreditation, or authorisation by Strategic Value Streams unless expressly agreed in writing.
We may provide public or private verification services to confirm credential status.
12. Intellectual Property
All content, materials, frameworks, examinations, logos, diagrams, credentials, branding, and related materials are protected by intellectual property rights.
This includes, without limitation:
• the Strategic Value Streams Body of Knowledge;
• certification frameworks;
• examination and assessment materials;
• course materials;
• digital downloads;
• community content created by Strategic Value Streams;
• diagrams, models, methods, and terminology;
• logos, badges, marks, and branding.
You may access content for personal professional use only.
You may not, without prior written permission:
• reproduce, copy, publish, upload, distribute, or share content;
• commercially exploit content;
• use content to provide training, consultancy, accreditation, or certification services;
• create derivative products, courses, exams, summaries, or competing materials;
• scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content;
• share examination materials;
• represent yourself as authorised to teach, examine, certify, accredit, or represent Strategic Value Streams.
Unauthorised use may result in account termination, withdrawal of certification, refusal of future access, and legal action.
13. Accredited Partners and Third-Party Training
Only organisations or individuals expressly authorised in writing by Strategic Value Streams may describe themselves as accredited, authorised, approved, licensed, or recognised training providers, partners, exam providers, or representatives of Strategic Value Streams.
No purchase of membership, Body of Knowledge access, certification, or examination access gives permission to deliver commercial training, resell materials, use Strategic Value Streams branding, or represent Strategic Value Streams in any capacity.
Where partner, trainer, institutional, or corporate arrangements exist, they will be governed by separate written terms.
14. Acceptable Use
You must not:
• attempt unauthorised access to systems;
• interfere with website functionality;
• upload malicious code;
• use services for unlawful purposes;
• misuse communities, comments, messages, or events;
• harass, abuse, threaten, or impersonate others;
• post unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, misleading, or infringing content;
• attempt to bypass payment, access controls, exam rules, or credential verification.
We may suspend or terminate access where misuse is detected or reasonably suspected.
15. Community, Events and User Contributions
Where we provide access to communities, events, webinars, comments, discussions, or other interactive areas, you are responsible for your own contributions.
You must ensure that your contributions are lawful, respectful, accurate to the best of your knowledge, and do not infringe third-party rights.
We may moderate, remove, edit, restrict, or refuse content where we consider it inappropriate, unlawful, misleading, promotional, abusive, or inconsistent with the purpose of Strategic Value Streams.
Participation in a community, event, or discussion does not create any right to certification, endorsement, employment, partnership, or commercial opportunity.
16. Service Availability
We aim to maintain continuous service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
We may suspend, restrict, or update services temporarily for maintenance, security, platform changes, technical updates, content improvements, or operational reasons.
We are not responsible for interruptions caused by third-party platforms, internet service providers, payment processors, hosting providers, user equipment, local network conditions, or events outside our reasonable control.
Where practicable, we will take reasonable steps to restore access or provide an appropriate alternative where we are unable to deliver a paid service.
17. Third-Party Platforms and Links
Strategic Value Streams may use third-party platforms for website hosting, course delivery, payments, email, communities, digital credentials, events, analytics, or examination delivery. These currently include Brillium for examination delivery, Active Contact for email and marketing communications, Hyperstack for digital credentials, and Zoho Meetings for webinars and online events.
Your use of those platforms may be subject to their own terms, policies, and technical requirements.
We may link to third-party websites or resources. Such links are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, accuracy, or policies.
18. No Professional Advice
Strategic Value Streams content is provided for education, professional development, and certification purposes.
It does not constitute legal, financial, regulatory, investment, employment, or other professional advice.
You are responsible for applying any learning, frameworks, or materials appropriately in your own professional context.
19. Privacy and Data
We process personal data in accordance with our privacy notice and applicable data protection law.
We may process data for purposes including account management, payment administration, learning access, examination administration, certification, credential verification, customer support, service improvement, fraud prevention, security, and legal compliance.
We may share relevant data with authorised service providers where necessary to deliver services, process payments, administer examinations, issue credentials, or maintain systems.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
• we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss;
• we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill, reputation, anticipated savings, or data;
• we are not liable for losses arising from your failure to follow instructions, maintain suitable technology, or comply with these Terms;
• our total liability in any 12-month period shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Strategic Value Streams in that period.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
• death or personal injury caused by negligence;
• fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
• breach of statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded;
• any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
21. Indemnity
Where you use Strategic Value Streams services on behalf of an organisation, or where your misuse causes loss, claim, damage, cost, or liability, you agree to indemnify Strategic Value Streams against reasonable losses arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of services, infringement of intellectual property rights, exam misconduct, credential misuse, or unlawful activity.
This clause does not limit mandatory consumer rights where they apply.
22. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including technical outages, cyber incidents, natural disasters, strikes, labour disputes, war, terrorism, civil unrest, epidemics, pandemics, government restrictions, regulatory action, failure of suppliers, payment processor disruption, hosting disruption, or internet infrastructure failure.
23. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access where:
• these Terms are breached;
• examination misconduct occurs;
• fraudulent activity is suspected;
• payment is reversed, declined, disputed, or charged back;
• account sharing or identity misuse is suspected;
• intellectual property rights are infringed;
• use of the service creates legal, operational, reputational, or security risk.
Termination does not affect accrued rights, payment obligations, intellectual property restrictions, confidentiality obligations, examination integrity rules, or any clauses intended to survive termination.
24. Changes to Services
We may update, improve, restructure, replace, suspend, or withdraw services, products, features, content, examinations, credentials, communities, or access methods from time to time.
Where a change materially affects a paid product you have already purchased, we will take reasonable steps to provide an appropriate alternative, continuation of access, or other reasonable remedy where required by law.
25. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically.
The latest version will be published on the website with an updated effective date.
Where changes are material, we may take reasonable steps to notify users, members, or candidates.
Continued use of services after updated Terms are published constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, except where additional consent is required by law.
26. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
The invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable provision will be treated as modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, lawful, and enforceable where possible.
27. Assignment
You may not transfer, assign, or share your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
We may transfer or assign our rights and obligations where reasonably necessary as part of business operations, restructuring, sale, transfer, or continuity planning, provided this does not materially reduce your statutory rights.
28. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Where you are a consumer residing outside the United Kingdom, you may also have mandatory rights under your local law.
Subject to mandatory consumer protections, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
