Strategic Value Streams Fellowship
Fellowship Syllabus and Assessment Overview
The Strategic Value Streams Fellowship validates enterprise-level design capability in value stream operating models, strategy execution, governance architecture and structural investment logic.
Where Practitioner confirms applied and evaluative capability, Fellowship confirms the ability to design, synthesise and critically assess enterprise value stream architectures in complex, high-velocity environments.
Fellowship recognises advanced professional standing and system-level judgement.
Purpose of the Fellowship
The Fellowship exists to:
• Validate enterprise-level operating model design capability
• Assess strategic architecture judgement
• Evaluate investment and governance structures at system scale
• Confirm the ability to design enabling constraint systems
• Recognise advanced professional leadership in value stream transformation
It ensures Fellows can shape organisational structure, not merely operate within it.
Who Should Pursue Fellowship
The Strategic Value Streams Fellowship is suitable for:
• Enterprise architects
• Chief architects and platform leaders
• Portfolio and transformation executives
• CIO advisory leaders
• Operating model designers
• Senior strategy consultants
Practitioner certification is required prior to Fellowship assessment.
Learning Domains
1. Strategy and Enterprise Structure
Designing structural responses to competitive advantage erosion and organisational friction.
2. Enterprise Value Stream Architecture
Architecting value stream topologies, boundaries and transition models across complex enterprises.
3. Advanced Value Stream Operating Model Design
Constructing governance, decision rights, funding and performance systems at enterprise scale.
4. Investment and Intervention Architecture
Designing risk management, funding guardrails and cross-value stream coordination models.
5. Architecture as a Strategic Lever
Designing enabling constraints, platform guardrails and scalable autonomy frameworks.
High-Level Topics Covered
The Fellowship assessment covers:
• Designing enterprise operating model coherence
• Constructing value stream topologies
• Evaluating system-level trade-offs
• Designing governance and funding guardrails
• Assessing architectural posture for long-term adaptability
• Critiquing structural misalignment at enterprise scale
• Designing interventions across multiple value streams
Content focuses on synthesis, design judgement and critical evaluation.
Bloom’s Taxonomy Level
The Fellowship assesses:
Bloom Level 6: Create
Bloom Level 7: Critically Evaluate
Candidates must demonstrate system-level design thinking, synthesis across domains and advanced professional judgement.
The assessment does not test recall or simple application. It validates enterprise design capability.
